Absolutely you need your electrolytes especially when doing longer fasts. As your weight drops you really need electrolytes because you won’t have as much body fat to feed off of. Bottom line is electrolytes are what keep your heart beating correctly it’s the balance of potassium and sodium in your bloodstream.
