I have just started to get into IF (16:8) and working hard to abide by the timeframe.
Yesterday, I was at the doctor who flat out said I am overweight and I possibly need to take some meds to help with weight loss. I really am not interested in taking the medicine, so I stated that I have recently been increasing my exercise and reduced my diet. She was so pleased to hear about my IF diet and reducing carbs and said she really believes in this type of lifestyle change. She wants to see me back soon to see how things are going.
This is one of the many additional reasons I am doing IF. Nice to know I was on the right track before I went into the office.
Answer
Most of the medical machine is not onvoard because there is no profit component to fasting. It requires no drugs or medical supervision, so it’s a very self-serving attitude since there is no money for them to make.
