Does it get harder or am just a sook?

54M, 180cm (5'11"), CW 84kg (185lb) GW 78kg (172lb) Been IF 20:4 all this week (first full week). Eating mostly unprocessed whole foods (100gm carb, 85gm protein, 66gm fat) between 4-8pm, around 1400 calories per day. Sedentary job, easy weight sessions 3x week. I've been doing it comfortably & enjoying it, but it's now Friday midday and I'm struggling a bit. Is this because I'm using up my energy reserves, or am I just being a sook? Does it get harder the longer you go with IF? Especially when not that much weight to lose (6kg).

Answer

It doesn’t really get harder physically. But mentally you can reach roadbumps.

You’re taking years (or decades even) of programmed eating patterns and throwing them out. And it can take time for your brain to accept it.

While it’s not always easy, it does get easier. But know your goals, plan your meals for your goals, and stick to it as best as you can.
