Pickles are a lifesaver. On a 72 hr fast, day 2 is the toughest for me. Mentally I’m in the middle of a fast, no end in sight to that feeding day, and if I’m gonnanscrew up that’s the day.
The salt in the pickles kills my hunger, a couple dill pickle spears even if 0-10 calories is nothing and far better than falling apart.
If you need it I say do it to get through. Takes the edge off and doesn’t affect insulin or knock you out if ketosis.
