Does this count as IF ?

I have been trying to lose weight and body fat . I have been lifting and doing about 25 minutes of cardio every other day. Everyday I try to get at least 10,000 steps in. I've drank nothing but water and have been making better choices with food and smaller portions. The only thing I do that I would consider to be IF is I stop eating around 6pm or 7pm. I usually eat again around 7:30am. Any weight loss advice or IF advice is appreciated

Answer

I would not count this as IF, it’s probably too short for the metabolic advantage to really kick in. It would become IF if you skipped that breakfast and waited for lunch.

Althought, what you are doing can help you avoid evening snacks and drinks, so this can help.

And congrats on trying to get healthier. What you are doing are definitely good steps in the right direction. Keeep in mind that physical activity is great, but most weight loss happens in the kitchen, not the gym.

A 12-14 hour fast is referred to as “circadian fasting” and it is beneficial. If you can’t or don’t want to do 16 or 18 hour fasting, maybe try 14? It’s only a little bump longer than what you’re doing now.

Answer

Imo everything below 20:4 isn’t fasting.

and everything below 47:1s being rolled(consecutively)is a waste of time.

You should be barely able to your maintenance TDEE

rolling 71:1s down 28lbs since 9/2
