Simple answer is Yes. The fasting time is the key. As the number of hours the body is without food triggers the response. You can look up and dig in deeper for articles and papers that describe these effects and what happens to the body as the fast continues.
Close enough. The flexibility of fasting is one on the perks.
If you want to be rigid…fair enough…but look at it this way….if you fast 18, then ear an hour early (17) then go back to your normal time…that is 19. It balances out.
If you welly want…make the 8 a 7 on shifted days
Fyi…I generally do omad. I try to do that between noon and 230. Sometimes it’s 11 am…Sometimes it’s 7pm….sometimes I spread it outside of one meal. The general idea is to do primarily one thing…but it’s flexible
