Down 60lbs on OMAD

Never thought I’d feel this good! I was above 360 a couple years ago. Lost 40 with just CICO alone but found it to be too tedious and not sustainable. Gained 20 back. I was in a very dark place mentally at the end of last year. I knew I needed to make a change. Started OMAD (still with a vague awareness of calories). Down 40 since xmas for a total of 60 since a couple years ago. Scale showing below 300 feels amazing. I’ve also been doing stairs at work and push-ups at home every day since December. Starting to see some progress with muscle definition.

Many congratulations! That’s fantastic. It’s good to hear you’re feeling so great. I get more motivated as well by how I’m feeling. I can also feel it when I consume something that is not resonating with my body. Now it’s easier for me to make immediate changes in my diet and eliminating things on the spot. For example, I had a handful of cashews the other day and my nose started running and I felt blah. As good as they are, they’re eliminated now. We sometimes focus on size and hitting a number on a scale, for me it is that high energy, feeling life vibe. And I’d much rather have the energy and motivation to do things in life I want to do, you know? I have failed in the past because I was focusing on the scale, when i switched to focusing on how I want to show up in the world it changed everything. Fasting is an incredible gift.

Good for you! I’m convinced you have to find the system that makes you feel good, because turning down food, dealing with self-image issues, etc. exists no matter what. If you add a terrible system on top of that … it’s just awful. Congrats on finding a great system for you!!!!
