Dry Fast Day 3

56.5 hours in and the fatigue and thirst have set in now. Day 3 has always been the most challenging for me as I tend to be obsessed with how much time I have left in the fast, consumed with thoughts of what food and drinks I'll have when I break my fast, and my energy is at its lowest point as the minutes seem to drag on. One thing that has become the most apparent to me over the past 3 days is the need for me to do a "social media fast" and disconnect from most apps on my phone beginning tomorrow. I have begun to realize that my phone and certain apps on it are a constant distraction and time suck from many of the things that I'd actually like to do in my life. I turned off all notifications for YouTube, Instagram, and Reddit--the three apps that I spend the most time on. I'm going to take a break from those and a few others during the month of August to refocus my life and be very purposeful about what I take in from the outside world. Don't get me wrong; I love technology and see the value of it in connecting with others, learning new things, and using it as a means to relax and pursue interests, among other benefits. I have no desire to become a hermit. However I recognize how much it is holding me back from being productive and operating at a higher vibrational frequency. I am a big fan of the Law of Attraction principles, and I believe that the mind is incredibly powerful in helping to manifest my physical reality. While a lot of things I consume on social media are beneficial, many of them are complete garbage and keep me operating at a lower vibrational frequency in my day to day life. I want to strip all of that away and reconnect with who I am on a more pure level. I want to start fresh and focus on the people around me, as well as my emotional, physical, and spiritual well being. I am fairly certain this will lead me to greater peace and fulfillment. Only time will tell though, I suppose. I wish the best to all of you in this dry fasting community. I appreciate all of the wisdom you share, in addition to all of the encouragement, love, and support you have provided me. Peace and blessings to all. 🙏✌️

Keep pushing. I just finished a four day dry fast. Really day two was hardest for me. But maybe this will give you some encouragement to keep going. You’re imagining all the foods and things to drink but lol when you break your fast, your intake has to be pretty bland so that your body doesn’t go into shock. Also so you do not balloon up from sodium and water. I imagined every great recipe that I would cook once the fast was done. Only to have to enjoy bland food to return my body to homeostasis. Just focus on the clarity that this fast is giving you. What you’re learning and not what you’re trying to get. Let things come you as you stated with the Law of Attraction. Embrace the journey. It’s hard, I know. But the clarity is so worth it.

I love your post. I’m currently in day 2 myself. I nearly broke it a few hours into the first day because I had a food craving. It came, pushed and then it left. Im glad I got past it.

I feel super calm and so relaxed in day 2. I took a 30 minute walk before going into the office and it was so nice and peaceful. For me, the peace of mind multi-day fasting (especially dry) gives you is unmatched.

There’s a little trick you can do for when your mouth is super dry that at least has worked for others and me. You take your closed mouth, and with your tongue u make clockwise or counterclockwise circles pushing against the back of your gums. That stimulates your saliva glands pretty well. Just make sure you don’t spit out the saliva but swallow if ya have to. Also highly recommend reading the Pheonix protocol as well as other dry fasting books. I have a few if you wanna send your email and I’ll send em over. I’m going for 11 days, currently just entered day 5, the first few days have actually been alot easier this time around, but everytime I get a craving or stomach pain I remind myself it was just the carbs, why I’m doing this, and the benefits, seems to help alot. Meditation helps the more you do it. Fav thing to pass time is read up on more of the benefits of doing this. Lemme know if ya have any questions. We got this! The benefits far out weigh the risks, system reset here we come!

I did a 5 day dry fast to heal my leaky gut, C. diff, SIBO, histamine intolerance. The only benefit I received was not having to feel pain from eating. However, my tongue became so white that the toxins went back into my stomach while I slept can’t caused gas and stomach noises all night. No matter how often I scrapped my tongue it didn’t help. If anything this made my leaky gut worse.

I ended up curing myself with an all carnivoire no dairy 4 day rotational diet. No herbs no plants no antibiotics and spring water. I didn’t eat raw or over cook my food it was just right. This was more healing than any fast I’ve ever completed.
