I have been diagnosed with a grade 1, small, slow growing breast tumor mid-December. I was just wondering if anyone has ever tried dry fasting when diagnosed with cancer.
It's not the first time that they find a lump but the first time, it was not cancerous. I did a 4 day water fast before the surgery to remove it and it significantly reduced in size.
I'd like to try the dry fast approach since this is now cancerous and I have a strong family history. I am also not sure how many days I want to go for but I have 2 weeks before I go for a colonoscopy and to see an oncologist. I am hoping for a small change to get the doctors to get the double mastectomy off the table.
Answer
Fasting keeps blood sugar highly regulated and the general rule of thumb is cancer thrives with sugar. I’m a cancer survivor myself and haven’t had any reoccurrence, thankfully. Fasting definitely won’t help the cancer grow.
