Duration?

I’ve searched a bit online and they recommended 12hours dry fasting, sunrise to sunset. Is there any specific way to do it. I’m doing 8am - 8pm taking on water before bed and after waking up but do some people just do no water for days on end?

It’s completely safe to dry fast for a week or so, after two days your body starts creating an endogenous water from your fat stores and damaged cells, so you aren’t at the risk of dehydration and you won’t feel thirsty.
