Did it take you time to get used to IF/fasting or did you just jam right into 18:6 etc.?
I’d like to have an eating window from 12-6pm but it’s hard for me to keep the hunger at bay in the morning.
I’m trying to make it easier for myself by having bulletproof coffee (at about 6-630am) for the time being. I intend to cut this out eventually (or just make it black to be honest). But I still can only make it to 930-10am and give in to eat the meal I intend to eat at 12pm.
How long did it take your hunger pangs to go away?

Edit- alternatively doing a window from 6-12 would be disastrous for me. Low willpower, hunger and bad habits would combine to keep me eating after work. So I want to work that into my window.

I went from 12:12 to 16:8 over the course of three weeks. Keep in mine we feel hunger long long before we’re truly in need of food. It is just a sensation, you won’t starve. Keep your mine focused on being productive and the time will pass easier. I used to feel very fixated on knowing how much more time I had to wait to eat, but before I knew it I was going about my business and then realizing I actually could have eaten over an hour ago.

Thanks all. It’s funny how obvious a lot of this stuff is but when you’re in it, you’re like holy crap how am I gonna do this. Simple advice like drink water, skip butter coffee, widen the eating window, stay focused, don’t panic etc… it is really helpful to be reminded of this stuff. Thank you!!
