Electrolytes

Hi! I am a die-hard 16:8 faster. I only drink black coffee and plain green or black tea in the morning and water (still and carbonated) the rest of the day. I realize I need to add electrolytes of some kind to my diet. What are some good recommendations aside from the high-sugar ones you typically find in the grocery store? I also season my food well and realize I may be getting enough from my food but there are days I feel a little off and I know its likely an electrolyte imbalance..

Answer

Magnesium glycinate pills at night are great for replenishing electrolytes and help with sleep and general mood/calmness. You can probably get enough sodium from your food and increase your consumption of potassium-rich foods during your eating window, but you can also add No Salt and table salt to a glass of water, (I add lemon juice as well.)

Answer

I personally use Keto Chow Electrolyte Drops, I first heard about them through Megan Ramos from The Fasting Method. They are flavorless and super concentrated, I just put a squeeze into each beverage I consume on a fasting day and don’t notice it.
