Emotional eating

My main problem has been comfort eating mainly to deal with stress rather than sadness or anger. The main thing inhibiting me from long periods of fasting is stress, I get the urge to eat but I’m not hungry. I try alternatives like walking, watching movies, or listening to music but none have really helped me.

Answer

Totally me. I eat fast food at work and reach for the big ass burrito when things are stressful. (Which is a lot since I own my own business and work with brides!) Then I get home and want to unwind with a cocktail and too tired to cook. Horrible cycle that I need to break.

Answer

I’ve given in to dirty fasting and not being perfect most days. I’m still in general doing myself a favor as compared to my old habits. The times when I have been able to fast longer is usually a happier fun day or I find another guilty pleasure. Take a break from work and surf my phone. Take a quick nap. I don’t have any specific advice. Just be kind to yourself.

Or have as much decaf black coffee as you want. It’ll reduce the hunger sensation.
