I have never done a fast before now, but later today is 72hrs for me. What is keeping me going is just staying busy to keep my mind away from wanting to eat. Keeping busy at work or doing yard work at home ect. I just had a 3 mile walk for lunch today as im not working today. I am drinking water all day and eating ice too. Before I started I just gave myself a serious talking to that I was going to accomplish a 5 day fast to kickstart a healthier lifestyle and I will not fail.
The first 3 days are the most challenging. My advice is to expect it to not feel great and just plow through.
Try and keep your mind occupied, move your body and focus on your goal. I’m on Day 2 of a 5 day.
