I’ve found that with fasting or a ketogenic diet, that a little is better then a lot. I’ve switched to a one-hitter. On the bright side it’s saved me money, on the other side I can’t use it the same way as before.
I had fasting as a way of life for about five years and there was no difference in how marijuana made me feel before during or after fasting. I wonder if just trying a bit less at first might do the trick?
I’ve been pushing my IF further and further and have noticed my tolerance is waaay down.
I’ve only done one 24 hour fast, two 48 hour fasts and I’m currently into an undetermined fast but I’m on hour 73.
I‘be gotten stupid high on the second and third days to the point that Wifey jokes on me now 😂
And we are stoners of the highest caliber… but I may have to turn in my Super Smoker Card here shortly and get reassigned as a One Hitter Quitter 😂
I just finished my longest fast yesterday. 4 days! I smoked all during it and if I felt anything off I drank pickle juice, or whatever your preferred electrolytes may be. And I drank a ton a different herbal and black teas. It helps with gut biome. When in doubt, check your salt. It can cause myriad problems.
Either just smoke CBD or mix in some CBD, from what I’ve read CBD balances the psychoactive effects from potent THC levels. I’ve never tried this personally, so I can’t confirm nor deny, but based what I read it seems to work.
I usually have a small joint at night after the kids are in bed and I haven’t noticed a difference due to diet - over the years I have tried keto, carnivore, IF & done a few 2-3 day fasts.
I have had 1 or 2 panic attacks after smoking, but that seems to have been stress related.
Maybe take a few weeks tolerance break and then start off again slowly.

Honestly I started smoking way more in the last few months and it’s helped me a ton with my fasting. I always felt like I got really down if I cut carbs too long or if I started fasting for an extended period. I just get sad with zero sugar. Weed picks me up a bit and helps me keep moving forward.
I find drinking lots of water and lower the amount smoked helps. Try teeny little bits, like barely a puff, and if your tolerance is low it should still do the trick. If you still don’t enjoy it, maybe it is time to take a break from weed.
