I kind of asked this same question before, but it was about a prescription medication. Last night during my fasting period I got really bad heartburn and I took 2 Tums ( 10 calories total). I get heartburn every once in a while otherwise I wouldn't bother asking if it was just once. Does that stop the fasting?

I had to do this a couple times in my first two weeks. Whether it stops the fast or not, it doesn’t stop the weight loss benefits. Anything that keeps you from having a small snack or meal is worth it.
