TLDR: issues restarting fasting after a year break.
Dudes (of all genders). Help.
I HAVE got to get back into fasting. It is the only way in my life that I’ve ever been able to lose and maintain my weight. But I broke my beautiful routine about a year ago now and have slowly regained a chunk of what I lost.
Summary, I (F/41) went from SW215 to 180, with GW150. Maintained at 182ish for 9 months ish during total life upheaval, then completely broke habit and now 1 more year later back at CW200.
First, Every time I try to restart, I can’t seem to get anything to come off after even a month or two. it’s just so discouraging and then I fall back to old habits again. My brain KNOWS it works but my body disagrees. But I also wonder if I’ve messed up and broke my body lol.
Anyone else ever suffer this restart issue?
Secondly, and pet of the problem here that caused the regaining of weight, fasting seemed to f*ck up my stop-eating-you’re-full hormone. Like I just don’t ever feel full anymore so I just have to try extra hard to control my portions.
Anyone else suffer this hormone issue? How do I reset this??

Ive done similar.
Did IF for 4 months, lost 50 pounds and was on cruise control to hit my goals. Stopped. Gained it all back..
2 years later, tried again. Weight loss seemed much, much slower. Stopped.
Trying again now. 1 week in!
