I have been following this sub for a long time and love the positive vibes. You all ROCK!
I have always been rather slight, my average weight used to fluctuate around 60-65 KG (male, 179cm)
I have an issue with chronic insomnia and my dashingly handsome shrink put me on Quetiapine (Seroquel) 25mg. I had to work up to 100mg before it started helping me sleep.
If any of you know about this medicine, it is notorious for weight gain. At first I wasn't worried, but just 9 months with this tablet, I gained about 10KG. Now I'm 75 KG with a stomach and lovehandles. The thing is, the Seroquel makes you hungry AF and any fast is quickly broken.
But now I say... I WILL NOT BE A VICTIM! I WILL fit back into my super sexy Diesel Gold leather jeans again. Too many buttons have popped, and I say enough is enough!
So I'm doing plenty of exercise, loads of cardio, stretches, walking, herbal teas, cutting down on alcohol and sugar.
I've weaned off Seroquel medicine and am taking a normal sedative on the short term.
My longest fast was 24 hours but today I proudly beat my record at 35 HOURS! My target is 72 hours to try and get more benefit.
I am keeping hydrated during this fast, and also supplement with Electrolyte Plus capsules, containing:
- 680mg chloride
- 400mg potassium
- 200mg calcium
- 200mg sodium
- 100mg magnesium
Is this suitable? Also, should I refrain from taking other supplements during my fasting periods (Vitamin D3, B vitamins, Omega-3 fish oil capsules)?
