I try to wait to get high until I break fast then eat the majority of my calories for the day, but intentionally leave space for the ultimate life hack: two spoonfuls of peanut butter. It’s texture alone regulates how quickly you can eat it, it’s high fat relatively low carbs if you’re doing that kind of thing, it really sticks to ya and helps suppress cravings since it’s pretty dense, and it tastes delicious. Highly recommend
To expand on drinking water, it’s the specific discipline of saying I have a stomach pang, I am going to just take a sip of water. I always think to myself “water will make you feel better.” Just keepin your stomach and body all hydrated and ready to go WHEN the fast is finally over :D
I’ve found the munchies to be a very mental thing. I used to get super hungry and stuff my face like crazy after getting high. At some point I changed my mindset with the relationship of high and hunger and determined to myself before I got high that I am comfortable and not hungry. I tried to eat something satisfying before hand and ensure I’m in a calm mental state before getting high or else I’ll just be using getting high as a reason to eat all my feelings.
I’ve known some friends who never got the urge to binge out when they got high and I learned this by observing their relationship with food and how they don’t treat it like an all or nothing or don’t get anxious about it.
for vacation, its vacation. don’t sweat it.
As far as weekends go, I try to make my eating window accommodate some munching, with a hard cut off time. Not having a ton of good munchies around also helps. Have some, just not endless amounts.
Lastly, get comfy somewhere with some heavy duty indica, and maybe you won’t want to walk all the way to the kitchen.
Be careful with fasting and smoking weed. I had a pretty bad incident where I fasted all day, smoked two bowls, and I got so sick I literally thought I was dying. I already have low blood pressure so I think the combination of all that tanked my blood pressure even further. I was so dizzy and nauseous, hotter than I’ve ever been in my life, drifting in and out of consciousness for probably like 20 min, and (major tmi) I lost control of my bladder (which is what made me think I was dying lol). It all went away super quickly once I got some water and ate some salty snacks so I’m pretty sure it was due to a blood pressure drop.
If anything I would break the fast a few hours before, have a good meal, then get high. Even if you don’t get sick from smoking while fasting you will almost certainly binge more if you go into a high starving. It also helps to have something to keep your hands busy, or a set amount of low-cal drinks/snacks
