Edit #2: I broke the DF with water at 94h--2 hours short of 4 full days. I will now be water fasting for 4 to 6 days. Sipping some water. The best taste ever!
Edit #1: at 87h now, and wrote another update below. This is my "least soft" DF yet--I only washed dishes a couple of times and washed my hands. No swimming or bathing. Yesterday (day 3) I didn't even feel like I was fasting!

I've done a number of short soft DF (I always wash some dishes and in the summer even swim in a lake, but I don't brush my teeth or put any moisture in my mouth).
For some reason I'm feeling cold tonight, even though a DF is supposed to warm you up. Where is my internal fire? lol Maybe it is too early for it.
I'm not feeling any hunger or thirst, but my thoughts turn to water quite frequently. As I was pouring water into a pot to cook some pasta for my kids I couldn't help but marvel how clear, fresh and just BEAUTIFUL the stream of water was.
This is one of the things I love about dry fasting--I get to really appreciate the miracle that water is. I tend to take it for granted. I drink it without paying attention to it. I often want plain soda water because of the bubbles or even the sugar free flavoured soda for the hint of flavour. But now that I'm fasting it is the pure, clean, regular old water that I'm thinking about.
I'm feeling great, but "great for a fast." I feel the world is a bit slower around me. I'm slower (in a nice way). I feel less energetic and a bit tired after walking outside for 2h. I don't feel like talking. My focus is not that great. Many here write about improved focus--hasn't happened to me on a fast yet! I can easily focus on writing this post and on my own thoughts. But I need to proofread an article and I ca't bring myself into focus. Maybe I do have some focus, but it is internally oriented?
I really want to go to bed early, and I will. Last night I fell asleep really quickly and slept deeply and well. I hope the same happens tonight.
I have a lot of respect for everyone here who can DF (or WF!) while working. I have the obcene luxury of not needing to be "at work". I'll spend all day outside tomorrow, which will involve about 4h of driving, but also just being outside in nature (and a museum). But I can be flexible, change my plans, rest when I want to. I can even cancel my plans. I can't imagine needing to go to work while fasting. I mean, I can, but I wouldn't be able to DF, that's for sure. I feel I'm in a different state of mind and body.
But...I guess my superpower is fasting and cooking haha. I know some find this difficult.
I'll update on how I'm feeling tomorrow! I hope I reach 72h. I will transition to a WF for the total of 10 fasting days.
I hope everyone's fasts are going well! Fast safe, fast happily, fast for joy and fast for health!
EDIT: 62 hours in! Feeling great! Great energy, no thoughts about food at all. Some thoughts about water...but not very thirsty! I'm feeling about the same as on my first day of the DF. About to leave for the day trip.
If I break with water before 72, I'd still be very happy. I love how the DF takes care of the first days of a longer fast. They days go by quickly and I feel mostly energetic, sleep well, and there are no "hunger pangs" at all.

87h in and feeling well!
Yesterday was day 3. I felt surprisingly well–to the extend that I didn’t feel like I was even fasting until about 4pm. Wasn’t hungry or thirsty and had really great energy. After 4pm I started feeling a bit tired, but nothing drastic. Therefore I decided not to start drinking water in the evening–I had a distinct feeling that I’d feel absolutely the same physically.
So today is day 4. My longest DF was 4 days. I have no goal of finishing at exactly 4 days, might be 3.75. I will see how I’m feeling. So far I’m feeling qite well, for a fast. About to go for a walk and do some light yardwork.

Just finishedy my 4DF+ 6WF. My first day of “refeeding” is on green juices (celery, lettuce, spinach, dill, parsley). I’m planning to continue with green juices for another 2-3 days and then slowly transition to other veggies (raw or steamed) for the next couple of days, and then to normal food.
