Finishing a 72hr fast

So…I’m 69hrs into my dry fast and I’m feeling great! I’ve been intermittent fasting 16:8 with occasional OMAD for the last two years on and off again. I’m also Muslim so I’m not unfamiliar with dry fasting (Ramadan). I will say that this is the first time I’ve dry fasted over a 24hr time period. Ever. I also have no experience with water fasting. Reasons why I’m Dry Fasting: I have skin problems that I wanted to fix and also possible SIBO (digestive issues just in general) that I’ve been dealing with for years. I stumbled upon this subreddit after looking up remedies for my problems and was amazed by the benefits and how many people have corrected their health with dry fasting. Current Results: Just to give some background I’m a 21yo F, height is 5’8. My starting weight was 161lbs and as of this morning I am 151lbs. The eczema on the left side of my face has started to disappear as well as my rosacea acne. I will say that I’m breaking out just a bit on the sides of my cheeks but I heard that could just be my body ridding toxins. My vision is better as well and I swear I can hear better too! Overall thoughts: Honestly, I feel amazing. The way I feel right now is so liberating and also experiencing very peaceful vibes as I type this. The mental clarity is not something I went in this for, but I’m not complaining!! I would definitely do this again and possibly even longer next time. I will be back with results after I break my fast and update how I’m feel after my refeed, but if any of you have any questions or advice I’m all ears :)

Amazing! I’m fasting right now. Currently at the 82 hour mark. I’m trying to go for 5 days but might do 6 or 7 depending on how I feel.

My longest fast was 5.5 days but that was 2 years ago so this fast has been a struggle but I’m still on it. Last night I woke up with an intense craving for water and pop (soda).

My biggest motivation to keep going on is how slimmer I look! I don’t own a scale so I’m not exactly sure how much I’ve lost but damn, my face and my tummy look so much slimmer. I’m also doing this for a mental reset on how I eat food. I’ve been stuck on eating junk food that I needed to stop. I feel you, last night I had the biggest struggle with sleeping but eventually fell asleep but not for long.
