This is my first reasonably long dry fast! I have tried to dry fast in the morning before, but never made it past 10 or so. I haven't had water since last night right at 10:30, so I am over 15 hours in now! I am hoping to make it to 24 hours, but realistically I bet it will be more if I can get to sleep tonight.
It was difficult to avoid water this morning. I always wake up thirsty and I've trained myself to guzzle water all day, so it was a bit of a challenge to get through the morning. It doesn't seem so bad right now though.
I feel more focused than I seem to on a water fast. Is that a normal part of dry fasting?
Answer
Nice- You got this. It’s truly mental for those first hours mostly…once you get past that 24-30 it becomes euphoric and you’ll truly experience all the benefits- and there are lots. I now much prefer dry fasts to water/electrolyte fasts and definitely think they can heal almost anything. Also builds discipline and mental growth. It’s also quite a spiritual experience if you allow it to be. If you want to keep the fast rolling for longer you can even do a rehydration window and go into another one…or combine dry fasting with urine therapy (**the benefits of that combo are unreal.)
