I get cranky if I can't do a full 36 hour fast, but I'm no longer ever looking forward to food. I look forward to "okay soon this hunger will go away"
but thinking about the food, eating the food just feels like a chore. brushing your teeth kind of feels good, but that's a chore too and i've never been stoked about it.
this might be hopeful news or bad news for those of you who are wondering how fasting *could* change your relationship with food.
as always mileage may vary, but this is my reality now about 2 months in to daily IF or alternate day fasting

Yea I always say ADF kills my tastebuds. Like my favorite foods just don’t taste good anymore. It’s always a meh feeling. Then OMAD the food still tastes good but I get full quickly so I’m uncomfortable for a while after. 20:4 works best for me, breaking with a protein shake and then eating my real meal an hour later.
