48 and peri meno. My monthly cycle is wild. It could be 80 days, 8 weeks, 8 hours who the ** knows. My weight is crazy to match. I am loving IF though and do feel better for the consistency of fasting. I am down 4kg in 4 weeks but who knows if it will last. You got this.
You can almost set your alarm at how on time my period is. My first month of keto, I had a little hiccup but since then, almost 9 months ago but I haven’t had any issues. I do however gain weight 3-5 lbs around that time.
For me I get a small gain or maintainance if I’m very strict at being at calorie deficit, but then the following week I get a woosh effect and drop what I had gained plus a bit more which is so satisfying .
Back in the restricting and IF to lose weight days my appetite was through the roof, and I was far more likely to binge in the 2 weeks before my period. Even without overeating my weight loss would stall, and then after my period started the loss would show itself when the water weight dropped.
Now that I’m at my UGW my weight goes “up” 2-3lbs for those two weeks and settles back down once my period starts again.
