Fun facts .

The average weight of a woman in 1950 was approximately 136 pounds, and she had a 27.8-inch waist, 37-inch hips, and wore a size 34B bra. Today the average woman is 170.6 lbs with a 38 inch waist size 18. More than a man in 1950. Bonus fun: While it is widely reported 40% of Americans gained weight over the covid lockdown 35% of Americans lost significant weight and started regular exercise. It is oddly not reported. To be fair the pandemic was hugely different for folks i.e. a nurse working in emergency room and a office worker on line had very very different lives.. I just never hear about those who lost weight??? Also some folks stop eating when they are stressed out. Please NO Judgements just discussion..

Answer

unfortunately there is a big difference between 50’s food and 2020 food

In a sense covid may have been a godsend because it forced ppl to change their eating habit and rediscover home cooking/reading labels and so forth

I wonder if the upcoming inflation will do the same and make ppl more aware of the food they are eating buying

there may be problem with water too estrogen may affect weight of ppl

every generation gets more aware of what food does to you

Answer

I did see news about people losing weight during the lock downs. Like stories about people who got pelotons or started eating healthy and changing their lives. Usually it was people who could work from home and had all this new free time from not commuting etc. I didn’t work from home, but I do wish I had taken advantage of that time better.
