I am not a doctor, but I will say this. Working out is great for getting stronger, getting faster and getting more energy. But for weight loss, it doesn’t really do as much as people think. Diet is 90%.
You can always track calories and slowly go longer, personally 23/1 fits me really well and I am the lightest and happiest I have ever been. I don’t track calories but I imagine I never eat more than 1200-1500 on any given day.
I have PCOS as well. I personally follow 16:8 or 18:6 and limit myself to 2 meals a day. Typically low carb. I also try to add as much fiber as I can. Part of my first meal typically includes chia seed pudding ( 1 cup almond milk + 2 tbsp of chia seeds with 1/8-1/4 cup of blueberries or blackberries). I typically have 2 eggs with 2 pieces of bacon in addition to the pudding. I’ve been reaching a lot about PCOS and a lot of doctors say getting enough fiber is crucial with regulating hormones with PCOS. 20g+ daily is suppose to help regulate hormones. There are a few medical studies around fiber.
PCOS is no fun and it’s a slow and steady race to understand what works for your body vs. others. IF is beneficial for everyone. I’d check out Dr. Fungs book it helped a lot and there is a ton of information on YouTube with other Drs. Sharing similar info.
