I had my gallbladder removed about 2 years ago. I’ve been losing weight since July with a combination of IF, calorie restriction, and running for cardio. In that time I’ve gone from about 83kg to 71 kg. I haven’t found it any more difficult to lose weight after the operation than I did before.
Hope that helps.
I had mine removed 19 years ago. IF I’d the first thing that has helped me lose a significant amount of weight fairly easily. Paleo worked as well but was harder to stick with. I had some trouble early on with having an upset tummy when I didn’t eat so I was very worried about trying fasting but over the years my body seems to have adapted and I don’t ever feel sick now.
I had my gallbladder removed in 2016. My weight peaked in 2018 after an unrelated blood clot; I’ve subsequently lost 65 lbs and am now a normal weight after taking up keto/IF. IF absolutely works for weight loss with or without a gallbladder, at least it did for me.
I lost 55 pounds from June 2020 to June 2021. Had to have my gall bladder removed and lost another 13 pounds through December 2021. Bad habits came back and I’ve put the 13 back on. In any event, I lost weight before and after cholecystectomy. It can be done!
