I have similar issues and have found IF and carb reduction has helped! Here are some thoughts that may help:
Limit acidic drinks- I’m fond of Crystal Light (don’t shame me). But some large glasses in the evening increase my GERD.
Find diabetic TUMS and take a couple on occasion.
Omeprazole works really well for me. Give it a try. Its a safe medication to test.
Too many carbs and I reflux. So I figure further carb reduction, to the point of nearly carnivore has REALLY helped.
Getting dehydrated or using too much salt sets off the reflux, so drinking plenty of liquids, sipping on the after dinner has helped me… But it can’t be Crystal light or diet soda… water mostly. Or Crystal light diluted way down to mostly water seems OK too.
Has a doctor checked your gall bladder? a big dietary change may set off gall bladder symptoms and give you symptoms that mimic GERD/gastritis.
I find eating too close to bedtime sets off the GERD, too. I guess my sweet spot for eating my large meal of the day is about 4 hours before bedtime, so my One Meal A Day is about 5pm - 6pm.
Good luck on your journey!
Yes I have this as well and wasn’t sure what it is! I am going to make an appointment with a specialist because I had an ultrasound done and all my organs look good so not sure what else to do. I eat super healthy, veggies and chicken only pretty much and no sugar or acidic type foods, limit my caffeine, moved my window up to an earlier time in the day so when I go to bed my food is digested, but I still feel bubbles in my throat and hear them at times when trying to sleep. I also take Omeprazole. I am really not sure what else I can do to make this shit stop. I feel like I am exhausting all avenues here. I only drink water and cut out all seltzers as well. No dairy lol. Sorry trying to include it all. Hoping someone-anyone can shed some light
