12pm-8pm seems like the standard window most people could end up choosing. Fasting is just water, tea, and black coffee for me.
Is fast food in your regular diet? Is dinner cooked at home? If you just want to test IF without changing your diet you could try that for 3 or so weeks and see what your results are. If you are wanting a more dramatic change in weight loss i would consider you to look into going keto at that point.
April doesn’t feel like that much amount of time all things considered so making every bit count should be your top priority.
I have an 11 month old and a 3 year old. I don’t have much time to focus on my physical health, but IF has been really easy so far. I’m 34F and 5’10” and I’m 180 pounds. I was 235 when I gave birth last year and did just healthy eating and working out to lose 45 pounds. I got stuck at 190-186 for months so I started IF 2 weeks ago. It’s been pretty easy. I eat between 11-7 with a black coffee at 6am, sparkling water at 9am. Lunch at 11 is a cup of soup with a salad and tuna fish. Snack at 2pm is cottage cheese or nuts and fruit. Dinner at 6pm is chicken, rice, and veggies. I track my food in My Fitness Pal and if I’m under 1000 calories I’ll eat a snack at 7pm to get me to 1100 calories. I don’t have time to workout. I lost 4 pounds last week and 2 pounds this week. I’m hoping to get to 165 by April 1.
