Not a good idea in regards to timing. After a dry fast the body is craving nutrients. If you break it by being at a wedding around alcohol and unhealthy food it could make you sick.
You are better off dry fasting earlier in the week if possible. That way the transition will be smoother. Good luck
>“you get almost no extra benefit and a lot more risk”
Purest bullshit. Dry fasting is way, way easier and far more effective for healing and weight loss than water fasting. You aren’t regularly flushing out all your electrolytes for a start, and you’re literally forcing your body to draw hydration from your body fat so the more you dry fast the more comfortable your body gets with it.
You already eat low carb so glucose withdrawal shouldn’t be much of an issue. I recommend trying 18:6 dry fasting for a few days. Once you see how easy it is to adapt to you could consider tightening your eating window.
We all work differently but for me a 24-26 dry fast starting around 2pm works then a 2hour period that I will drink a little water maybe a protein/health shake and then push through the next day as far as I can. Ideally another 24 dry then 12-24 water only. I usually drop 5kg this way and am currently doing it once a week with reasonable success
I think DF is a great way to reach a thinner body.
below things are dependent:
-> how much you need to lose
–> the DF length
—-> your ability to approach the wedding food and drinks safely
