My first approach to fasting, some years ago, started with losing 35lbs in a month.
What i did was:
I started at 236 lbs and finished at around 200lbs without regain since I continued keto.
Since then I maintained my weight with periods of DF, periods of OMAD and some WF.
As an experiment i lost another 27lbs in a 9.5 DF days.
Now I have an “acceptable” weight interval:
I think weight is completely manageable if you can manage your willpower and if you have the correct why, the correct goal.
Think about health instead of weight and the mind will help you more. ;)

Just my two cent!
Happy Fasting
I feel fasting kilos are less reliable since it is not really that much weight when you have accounted for water, carb and hormonal weigh (stuff that could very easily/quickly shift back) from just one fasting round even if it feels like you have fasted forever. More for some people of course, I am kinda small and do not burn much per day, perhaps 250 grams of fat per day. so like maybe 1,5kg fat from 5 days of dry fasting, however - visually it can look as if I am more fat after since my stomach tends to bloat very easily and look/feel fat even if it is not really possible.Like it can surely feel like I have gained 5kg´s in a day, but it is not fysically possible, I would not even be able to ingest that much after doing a fast (or at all?). But taking into consideration those quickly changing weight factors mentioned, I could actually gain 5kg´s in a day. Which make the little lost from the fast feel very puny in comparison and I still feel fat or even more fat than before (bloating tends to create that feeling). So no, I can´t reliably use longer fasts for weight loss even if you would logically lose fat from not eating during enough total days. And mentally I would likely develop more food obsession the more long fasts I do, so after about 2-3 I need to give it a rest for a few months and try find a more balanced diet and/or intermittant form of fasting after the mental state has normalized enough to even be able to maintain a diet.
I know many people who lost fat they couldnt lose through fasting. Including me.
I’m not certain how critical the dry fasting vs wet fasting is. In my experience, when you re-hydrate, you ‘gain back’ all of the ‘extra weight you lost’. Also in dry fast you’re unable to drink coffee - which is a major food surpressant.
In the era of weaponized fake news, it is worth being aware that online trolls could push the dry fasting fad to make silly westerners die of thirst ‘for health’.
Fasting by itself definitely works.
There is no faster way you can lose the fat, if you think about it. If you eat e.g. 2500cal a day, then 1 fast is -2500 cal. You could never match that in a gym unless you were seriously fit and accomplished, you will not possibly do it as an amateur. 2 days is -5000cal. Those numbers are hard to argue with. IT beats trying to eat 200cal less portions.
By far the best way to get it moving is to do X days per week, e.g. 2, or 2 mon tuesday, then 1 on thurs - and do that consistently for months. Guaranteed you will go down. About 1KG a week. So every month, 4kg
