Got a good lesson on what not to do, today

45M: Sunday, I had some coffee at home, went to church and then had another coffee, strong, from a coffee shop …zap! Wired af, wife thought that I was anxious, I felt so too. Did some errands, went for a long walk and still wired at 10PM. Crazy. I had to smoke some indica to sleep, just one puff (amazing when on full ketosis). Woke up at 5 am Monday, went to the gym, chest and back weights until failure - all light weight. Hit the sauna after for 15 mins. When I got home I was exhausted, not typical when eating. My hard learnings to share: 1) don’t drink more than 1 cup of black coffee when water fasting. 2) don’t lift weights or hit the sauna at 5am on a workday. 6PM is more appropriate, at least I can sleep when exhausted. Yes, loaded up on electrolytes

Maybe you have to eaze into it. I drink like 4 cups of coffee a day and last 5 day fast I worked out for the first 3. Heavy lifts, squats, deadlifts, bench….etc. and I’m fine. But I’ve been doing extended fasts and IF for years and I’m very used to it.
