I’ve seen some conflicting (older) posts on this sub so thought I’d get crowd wisdom on this.
New to IF - been doing 16:8. I have sleep issues and need to take CBD gummy at night (can’t stand the tincture and pills are hard to come by in my non-legal state).
I start my fast around 7pm and take gummy at 9:30pm.
Gummies are 5 calories and have 1g of sugar.
Is this going to mess with my fast?
I’d hate to put in all this work just to have it thrown off by 5 cals, but I can’t really justify cutting them out right now (working on this in other ways).

5 cals is virtually nothing. Personally, I wouldn’t even track those cals.
Some people have the belief that you have to be extremely rigid with fasting. But the benefits from a good nights sleep definitely outweigh the benefits of having an ultra-clean, ‘perfect’ fast in my opinion.
5 cals is hardly going to make a difference.
