Gym Trainers

I'm 5'10 198 and need to lose the last 23 pounds. The trainers at my gym all say "you need to eat 6 meals a day and eat protein". Well yeah, I ate 6 meals a day like you people told me to for years and gained a ton of weight. How do you tell these people they are wrong?

Answer

Look into Intermittent Fasting

Eating within a certain window essentially. I found it much easier to manage. & ultimately caloric deficit is key. You can eat 6 times a day or only once or twice what matters is What you ate

Answer

How do you tell these people they are wrong? You don’t.

I’ve been on keto for over a year now. I was concerned I would lack energy / stamina to play soccer. Turns out I have no problems at all. I typically have 2 eggs the mornings before the games then either a keto shake or protein bar right before.

Others have a good point: most trainers are focused on building big muscles. Just do keto, don’t cheat, be patient, and you’ll lose weight. And/or fat if you want.

Answer

I think trainers are often focused on building muscle mass, and building it fast. In that case feeding the muscles frequently with good quality protein does make sense…but it sure doesn’t do a thing for weight loss. My humble opinion…
