Have not lost any weight

Hi all, M27 CW120KG 182CM I have been doing IF for 3 weeks now (16:8), with around 1700-1800 kcal intake focussed heavily on protein and lower carbs. I noticed I have dropped very little weight which is quite frustrating, especially since I just finished a 48H fast aswell... Some people do notice I have lost weight and say they can see it... well I cant and the scale apparently neither. Few positive things, my resting heart rate went from 70 to 50, my heart rate while swimming intensively went from 180 to 165 on average. So I am seeing some benefits there. I sleep a bit better and feel more energized... Any idea why I am not losing weight? Should I just stop weiging?

I know it is frustrating when the scale doesn’t seem to reflect your efforts. Are you measuring your body stats too (chest, waist, thigh etc)? Also I would say take some progress pics to compare and maybe only weigh once a month perhaps.

Consistency is key, keep up the good work.

Swimming is a good upper body workout, you could be offsetting your loss slightly with some muscle gain. Also, you’re likely just holding on to some extra water. I ate junk food and drank alcohol for the first time in a while, moderately small amounts of each, and put on 10 pounds of water weight that took 3 days to leave my system. (Not saying you had a hiccup, just trying to provide an example) You’re doing great and being consistent, just trust the process and results will follow
