So there’s a lot of information missing right? Did you just start fasting and this is your first week? If so then yes a lot of that is going to be water. That’s not a bad thing! Just don’t expect to lose 16 pounds every week.
I don’t know what your current weight is, but sometimes it takes a little time to notice the changes happening to our bodies. The scale is important… But measurements are also important… And how you feel is probably the most important thing of all. Don’t get obsessed with any one thing.
The important thing with fasting is to keep doing it. You can’t do two crazy weeks of fasting and solve all your problems. You’re going to have ups and downs, but I have to say it sounds like you are off to a truly phenomenal start. I hope you’re eating enough during the day, getting a little bit of exercise and drinking plenty of water.
You are in this for the long run. Read through this sub Reddit and you’ll see lots of success stories. You can absolutely be one of them.
Starting my 7 day water fast and I’m interested in the realistic fat loss vs water weight. All bodies are different and I expect to gain water once I resume eating. Is the excess water weight typically 50% of your total weight loss? Aren’t fat cells made up of water as well?
