I don’t really see a problem and I think you can manage this effectively. Try extending your fast an hour at a time. Eat a cheese stick or something small like that if you can’t make till you are off of work. Gradually you will be able to fast till after your shift is over. Also caffeine if you can do it, will help.
During the first couple week skip strict IF and eat before work. See if you actually need to eat before hand. If you don’t, then skip the morning meal and have your lunch/dinner.
Otherwise you’ll have to have an earlier eating window, which may or may not work for your lifestyle, depending on why you eat at night (partner/social activities.)
I do a 16:8 with eating between 10-6 and work 8 - 4.
Today was my first day at work after starting IF and I was kind of dreading it, but it wasn’t that bad. I did some reading and 1 cup of black coffee won’t break your fast so I had a cup when I woke up and the drank plenty of water. I prepared my breakfast and had it ready for my first break at which for me is at 10am.
I drank plenty of water to keep me going and I did not get the expected funk, that might change later in the week, but for now it works. So just make sure you plan your meals and you should be fine. I do bulk cooking on my days off so I just need to heat up meals in the microwave.
