When you add in severe anemia and low blood pressure with fasting, you are putting your self in a dangerous position. If you are on supplements for your iron, you shouldn’t stop taking them to fast. This might be something you should discuss with a healthcare professional.
Fasting can be a great tool, but it’s not for all people of all health conditions. Intermittent fasting, which you mentioned, would probably work best for keeping you able to take iron pills, which can really mess you up in the best of circumstances. Even one meal a day could be something to try - just depends on how your BP handles it. Go slow.
I know it’s not the motivation you wanted, but I hope it helps!
What’s ur diet like? I would recommend doing keto even if it’s lazy keto then slowly more into fasting, IF to omad to 36 hr fast to 48 hr etc etc. Also check out snake diet on YouTube, Cole is triggering as hell but he literally is trying to help people for free. He recommends electrolytes mix in your water, I do a liter of water with 1 tbsp of pink salt and 1tbsp of potassium cholride(I use bulk supplement off of Amazon but u can do nu-salt or no-salt brand whatever it’s called). Also when u refeed make sure you aren’t eating crap, red meat probably steak and a bunch of veggies(broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, etc) with some good butter like Kerry gold. Then jump back into fasting again. Also listen to your body, if u don’t have enough energy to work out then break ur fast and refeed (don’t workout that day probably) then go back to working out and fasting. Are you fasting to lose weight?
I have had severe anemia all of my life and it got worse after my first pregnancy. I have had my blood work done 3x since my 2, 10 day fast last year and my iron levels are NORMAL. I couldn’t believe it. If you can rest and don’t have a really physical job…I would definitely recommend it.
