Help (please)!

I had been doing keto for about 21 days and lost 3kg but decided to try ADF as I would really like to have carbs back in my diet and I also like the other benefits fasting can provide. After a week of modified fasts (500 cals 3 days a week) I lost nothing so the next week I tried a 48 hour complete fast (water and black coffee/tea only) followed by a 12-hour eating window (stayed well within my TDEE but ate carbs) and then another 36 hour complete fast and a 9.5-hour eating window. I’ve lost nothing. I am *not* going over my TDEE. I make everything myself and track and weigh it — I log the exact brand of what I’m eating. There is no way I’m overeating or undereating. I’ve had all my blood work done to rule out any medical reasons. Nothing. I don’t get it. Is this not scientifically impossible?!

Answer

Hey mate. Just relax. Losing wait take its time. It’s totally normal sometimes To loose nothing. But the weight isn everything. I can give you the advice to make photos of you or taking measurements. It shows often things the weight didn’t show.

Answer

How many calories are you eating?

Fasting is not the same as calorie restriction. Let’s say your TDEE is 2,000 calories and you fast every other day. On eating days you eat 2,000 calories (or less), you don’t try to make up for loss time or anything else. That’s because during the fast your body literally switches to metabolizing fats; compensating for that is literally working on restoring your fat surplus.
