[HELP] Snake Diet, Workout(s), and Herniated Discs

Hey Everyone, So I haven’t really been following any fasting protocols or snake diet due to recent holidays, parties, and recently diagnosed herniated discs. It’s at a point where I cannot walk, sit, or lay properly without intense pain. I’ve gained back all my weight that I lost because I haven’t been able to do anything. I feel defeated. I’m currently 25 years old and am expecting to get steroid injections sometime in the next month or so from what the neurosurgeon said, but has anyone experienced a similar experience and what did you do in the mean time. It’s hard for me to fast when I’m not doing anything at home whereas I was usually active participating in various sports and gym.

Answer

Slipped disks are the worst, I train Jiu Jitsu and have had problems several times. The extra weight only makes it much worse.

You’re going to have to suck it up and fast. Yeah ok you struggle at home… no one cares. Lose the weight and take the pressure off your spinal cord, its only going to help you, no one can do it for you.

We live in such an easy world that you can complain about herniated disks and not muster up the nerve to do a little fasting. Rolling 48’s and 72’s, get to it.

I wish you all the best cus that pain is horrible but no one can save you but you.

LESS WEIGHT = EASIER!

Answer

Be careful not to dehydrate. This can cause discs to dry out, crack and cause more damage. I had my l5 s1 shaved when I was 19 and have a few herniations all the way up now I’m 33.

I would steer clear of dry fasting especially, it caused me terrible flare ups which lasted months.

Also I agree 100% more weight is more stress on the spine.

I know it’s hard to get motivated but you can do it. 2 years ago I didn’t sit down for 8 months due to a flare up and I felt sorry for myself for 6 of that. Finally had enough. Got moving, got stronger and got better
