First, this sub will be the last to tell you not to do an extended fast, lol. But at that length and your current health, definitely make your doctor aware and talk to them about it.
As for energy, I relate deep ketosis as you’ve just switched fuels from gasoline to diesel. It will take longer for your body to build up energy to do a task, but once it does you have a constant steady source of it. Try going for a walk when you feel tired so your body ramps up the fuel burn. You’ll feel more energetic when you’re done.
Coffee or green tea are great too. Some people say the artificial sweeteners in Gatorade Zero and stuff like that have no effect on their fast, but they can definitely trigger hunger pangs and make your fast much harder. I used them in the past, but they made me hungry and my results weren’t as good as with sticking to water, coffee, and tea.
Hey, I was low in energy until day 8. I’m day 16 and my energy is average and my strength is maybe 50% of what I am usually. I walk around fine, but if I walk hills I breathe heavy. I have a healthy BMI thus maybe less fat to utilise? If there is a solution, to have more energy, I’m all ears. 🦋
I cannot speak as someone experienced but I just did a 3 day fast, felt the same headaches and lethargy and drinking Zevia (Stevia based zero calorie cola) with caffeine really helped me. I recommend not taking it at night otherwise you might have sleep issues.
do not go for gatorade IMO. there are alot of shit chemicals and artificial sweeteners like sucralose and aspartame that can cause alot of issues. there are sweeteners that even create a larger insulin response than sugar! This would destroy your fast and benefits. look for stevia based products with no maltodextrin.
