honey

Been resisting sugar for a month but cant ,however i was able to limit my sugar intake to 1 tbsp per day. I was planning on using honey instead, will this also raise insulin and result to cravings?

Answer

Has your taste buds not changed yet? If you haven’t eaten sweet sugary stuff and try to eat the sweet foods that you used to love, you’d find those food to be very sweet.

Also, have you tried coco sugar? It’s still sugar but has lower glycemic index than regular sugar.

Answer

You can consider honey a form of sugar (and should treat it as such), but raw, unfiltered honey has nutritional benefits as well. My personal favorite is the Superfood Honey from Beekeepers Naturals, it also contains medicinal-grade propolis, royal jelly, and bee pollen. 🐝 There are also sweet treats you can buy that are made with raw honey instead of cane sugar, such as Wild Tonic’s Jun or Honey Mama’s raw chocolate. I love incorporating honey into my one meal several times a week, but would never consume it while fasting.
