I had this same worry but I’ve started doing fasted workouts and I don’t feel at all hungry. I think my body has adjusted to knowing when food time will be and I get hungry accordingly.
I usually have an electrolyte pre workout (no caffeine) tab in my water for while I’m working out and I have a coffee in the morning beforehand and of course lots of water. So far so good!
I had the same fear. I’ve been working out while fasted for a while now, and I usually end up not feeling hungry at all after I’m done. Make sure you’re getting some electrolytes if you’re sweating a lot, but you should be fine. Maybe start slow to see how you’re feeling and then work more into a heavy workout
You just might surprise yourself. I had a similar concern for years and didn’t make the effort to combine IF with exercise or sports activity.
Now, I cycle most mornings at 5.00am on a fasting schedule of 20:4 or 22:2 and I only break my fast around 10.00am.
It has been surprisingly easy but it took me about 2 weeks to get used to it.
And word of advice: Don’t restrict your calories too much at the beginning of a routine change, give your body time to adjust to the new metabolic schedule then tweak as you go.
I work out during my fasting window too and I have no problem. You just need to get your body used to it. It’s important that you take things slow and not try to do too much too fast. Why not start small like a 1 km brisk walk / jog in the morning? Give that a week and then slowly increase the distance
