How do I get started with IF?

As of rn I weight around 64 kgs (I haven't weighted myself in a long time) x 1,60 m at 21 y.o. and I want to get back to at least 55 or less. My biggest trouble is with working out as I am extremely self conscious of my body and I live with my parent who is very judgemental of it, so working out at home is difficult too. I wanted to try the 16:8 IF, but I need to eat breakfast due to taking medicines, so I thought of doing the warrior diet or alternate-day fasting. I'm a uni student so I'm out of the house for 4 to 10 hours per day, but it does make me walk around as I have to take the train and then walk to and from uni. How can I get started? Are there any particular things I need to be careful of? What IF method would work best? Any advice is welcome, this is my first time actively trying to lose weight. EDIT: added more data

Answer

I would advise you to weigh yourself and then check the TDEE calculator and see if your goal weight is reasonable. If not, readjust your expectations.

Another thing is learning to become immune to toxic influences and criticism. Especially if this comes from your parent. “Friends” you can shake of, it’s different for parents.

Choose the fasting window that suits you. Start slowly and adjust as you are going. 16:8 sounds good.

You can take your medication during your fasting with small amounts of leafy greens.

Actually, walking would be great. I use an online library, but sometimes I just need a reason to go somewhere and to a library I go. To browse a bit and move myself. Can you be active in the university area? What you need are comfortable shoes and will to do it. Can you use uni facilities to exercise? Are they any classes of something to make you moving, like yoga, dancing, or self-defense? Any sports or clubs like hiking or climbing?
