How do i stop hating myself for gaining a pound or plateauing?

I actually do intermittent fasting, currently OMAD with 1000-1200 calories. I'm plateauing now and it's really frustrating me. Does anyone else suffer from self esteem issues? How did you move past this? EDIT: I'm 24, 5'6, highest weight 312 lbs and current weight 290 lbs.

Answer

Try to get into a routine. You need consistency above all else. You need to be more or less consistent for months and years. The odd slip doesnt matter, but it mustn’t become routine. Focus on inputs not outputs. You can’t decide when and how your body will use your fat stores. But if you continue to eat as planned you can but lose weight.

You’re going to need to accept the fact that your body is not a perfect machine. It’s a biological creation. Your mileage may vary.

We will spend our entire lives getting to know our own machine and it will always be changing. Don’t worry about every bump on the road, just keep driving it right and treating it right and it will serve you well.

Do you use a weight trend app like happy scale?

I’m a very logical person but sometimes thee scale gets me down when I doesn’t move the way it’s supposed to. The app goes a long way for me to show. Me that yes I am making progress and that I’m not as far as I used to be.

You should be proud of yourself! You’re making strides to change your life!

You need to learn to love yourself for who you are. I mean are you overweight? If so, to an unhealthy level? I used you to look at myself and see an actual monster in the mirror. You need to give more details like age and stuff. Don’t say gender though, because Internet.
