How do you balance work/office life and IF?

Hi! 5’0 female with PCOS. So I did IF 16:8 for about 5 months consistently during covid and lost around 8 lbs being consistent with it. Transitioned from a college student, into my first big girl job in the spring. Iwent away from IF and it’s like I gained all the weight back. I’m trying to get back into the swing of IF but it’s so hard trying to be consistent with the transitioning to working in an office/job sites. I love IF and I know that’s what works for me but I’m trying to figure out how to make it fit with my work life. Sometimes my job requires me to be out of the office on job sites during the start of my eating window, or I have a meeting when I’m suppose to eat, team happy hours that go past my eating window, and etc. Just trying to figure it out… For those in back to office settings, how do you do this? Lol

Answer

My work is random hours throughout the day so I just do omad and call it a day. I just eat when I’m done with work. I do a delivery job so I walk a lot and in between my 2 half shifts that I do I still work out at the gym. Omad just makes my schedule more simple.

Maybe during those meetings where you go eat, just make that your meal for the day.

Answer

My days are often packed with meetings and I’m doing OMAD, what I do is this: I literally book time in my calendar to take a break/eat days ahead and nobody can “book me” at this time so I make sure to get some food on time always.Of course, I’m lucky to have a job which allows for this and I don’t know if you are in a same situation as I am. But if you can - try booking time slots for your meals. This will help you remain calm and feel better. On the other hand, your employer will get you in a better state of mind.
