How do you ward off the pangs?

I really want to use IF as a way of curing my BED and losing 40lbs. I would like to manage a 24hr+ fast but i'm struggling to get beyond skipping breakfast. I'm also a SAHM and the main cook which adds a level of difficulty. What tricks do you use to keep the hunger at bay?

I just feel hungry. But imagine if you were hungry on a train journey with no snack trolly. You’d just deal with it. Wouldn’t be the end of the world. So you have to get into your mind that you deciding not to eat is no different. You can’t eat at that time so hunger is just a sensation not something to be acted on.

Remember that hunger comes in waves and as you ride them out the hunger decreases. It will not just become more intense over time.Also, it‘s not real hunger, it‘s „brain-hunger“, not „stomach-hunger“. 😊
