I half heartedly started IF on and off a little while ago (just on a few random days of the week) then decided this week to properly commit to doing it every day. All week I've felt super fatigued in the day time and struggled with falling asleep until too late (1130-midnightish, I am up at 530 with my toddler so it's too late).
My question is, how long does it take to adjust to sleeping every night with an empty tummy, and to stop feeling so tired in the day time?
I'm eating fairly well. Less calories due to not snacking or drinking wine after dinner and not eating breakfast. I have a big salad with lots of good fats and proteins for lunch, green yoghurt & berries for afternoon tea and a healthy dinner with grains, meat & veg for dinner.

My sleep was messed up for a while. Try melatonin. I was so wired and full of energy at night. I stop drinking caffeine by noon too, if not earlier. It did even put though and is so worth sticking with!

I started with 18:6 and honestly, it took about 3 weeks (I was just about to give up) when the fatigue lifted. It may be your window is too small, too fast? I was so exhausted all the time at first but it does get better!! Now I’m at OMAD, 20:4, 20:6 depending on how I’m feeling- and my energy remains fine. Good luck and don’t be too hard on yourself! Sleep is so important!
