It really depends. If you live in a hot and/or dry climate, you need more. If you’re very active to the point of sweating and breathing hard, you need to replace those lost fluids. It varies by location and lifestyle.
A liter of water is really not that much. It may be annoying but have you tried spacing it out? And if that doesn’t work, have you tried downing it aggressively? I feel like in the latter case you would definitely need to pee… But hopefully only once.
I used to drink VERY little water. It took me years to build up to the point where I can drink four or more litres a day: but I’m sooo much healthier for it. I really think you should try to drink more, but increase slowly. Water toxicity is dangerous. maybe build up to 1L a day over two or three weeks, then slowly increase from there. Also, salts can help you retain more water, thereby meaning less trips to the toilet. I don’t know how much salt is the right amount so you would have to speak to a health professional about that.
I have noticed in the past that, once you are accustomed to drinking little water, when you start increasing intake, you’ll feel the urge to pee often.
But don’t let that stop you. Keep drinking often and sooner or later your bladder will adjust too.
You should really aim for 2L a day. I drink a gallon everyday, which is 3.7L. In addition to hurting weight loss, not drinking enough water has a lot of other negative health consequences. I feel you on the bladder thing, I have that issue but I’d rather be healthy and inconvenienced than unhealthy.
Idk about fasting, but I drink juice like a fish. Like pints and pints a day. I’ve noticed it definitely staves off hunger a bit as it gives you a full feeling (not why I do it I’m just thirsty a lot) . Alas, toilet trips abound.
