Been at this for about 3 weeks now. I was super stoked because I'm down 5 pounds and that's the first time I've ever seen the number go down
Started to get discouraged after seeing other peoples updates with much faster progress... like 44 pounds after two months!! that's 5.5 a week! That's over triple the speed I'm going and now I'm feeling terribly discouraged... I'm sad and tired of looking like a sack of potatoes
I've been kinda alternating between 20-4 and 18-6, 0 snacking and only a very small lunch and dinner. My calorie checking may be a bit inaccurate but it's certainly under 1500.
I started going for walks but that went to a bit of a standstill with the colder weather (Canada :c )
My questions is... is it normal for it to be this slow? How slow was your beginning? Does water have a big impact? I find myself not really feeling that thirsty so I'm probably slacking on that...
I'll commit harder to 20-4 if that's what it takes. I just wanted there to be *some* difference by mid-December but it's not looking likely... :(

My IF teacher says don’t even use the scales for the first month or two, because it can be discouraging at first. Scales might not move at all. But then you’ll suddenly see a woooosh and it will start moving.
Also, on another topic, don’t really limit how many calories you are eating during the meal, just stick to your eating window. Limiting how many calories you eat can be counterproductive, the body get too little energy and go into low metabolism mode. Then you have less energy and also burn less fat.
If you just eat normally during your window, your body has a much better chance of staying in normal non-starvation non-low-metabolism mode.
I eat icecream and cake and one big regular meal + a few snacks in my window, and I lose weight slowly and steadily.
